OUR STORY

What else
could gold
become?

Thariba began with a simple question:
could gold become something more practical,
personal and easier to give?

THE QUESTION BEHIND THARIBA

Gold has always been precious.

We started by asking
how it could become
more useful.

Jewellery, investment and ceremonial objects have defined the way people experience gold for generations.

Thariba began by looking at gold from another direction: not simply what it is worth, but what it could do.

01

THE BEGINNING

Reinventing
Microgold.

Before Thariba, the journey began with Microgold.

Following the founder's success in recreating and reinventing the Microgold Card, he became increasingly interested in what could be achieved when very small quantities of precious metal were transformed into meaningful physical objects.

It demonstrated an important idea: gold did not always need to be large to feel valuable.

Small amount.
Real gold.
New possibilities.

02

LEARNING

To reimagine gold,
first understand it.

Success with Microgold led to another question: how much further could the idea go?

The founder began developing the skills required to understand gold and silver more deeply — learning how precious metals are worked, formed, finished and transformed into jewellery and other objects.

Before attempting to change the way gold is used, he wanted to understand the craft behind it.

03

PUTIAN

Surrounded by
the traditional
world of gold.

The journey eventually brought the founder to conventional gold training at the Beigao Gold and Jewelry Pavilion in Beigao town, Putian, China.

Locally nicknamed “Putian's Golden Bird Nest”, the distinctive landmark is shaped like a giant traditional Chinese gold ingot.

Inside a place devoted to the traditional gold industry, a different idea began to take shape.

Beigao is presented as a chapter in the founder's training journey. THARIBA does not claim ownership, operation or affiliation with the pavilion.

THE TURNING POINT

Then came
a different question.

“What if gold could
be practical enough
to give more often?”

Gold jewellery had become increasingly expensive.

Meaningful gold gifts were often associated with major budgets, major occasions or objects designed primarily to be stored.

The founder began imagining another role for gold.

Not only jewellery.

Not only investment.

Not only something
kept away.

But something
people could use,
give and remember.

04

EXPLORATION

Finding a way
to make it possible.

That question began a new journey.

The challenge was no longer simply designing another gold object. It was finding the materials, manufacturing methods and technologies that could make very small quantities of gold practical in entirely new forms.

The objective was not to imitate conventional jewellery.
It was to develop a new category of gold products.

THARIBA

From an idea
to a new category.

From that journey, Thariba began to take shape.
